I found this to be a little tongue in cheekee. Of course our DNA
makes up who we are. But will power and character can determine
who we become.
(PRWEB) June 23, 2005 -- During the past 20 years there has been a
dramatic increase of obesity in the United States. The National
Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases reported that
approximately 65 percent of U.S. adults and 11 percent of youths are
either overweight or obese. This is an epidemic of massive proportions
as many dangerous medical conditions stem from obesity.
The surgeon General found “The economic cost of obesity in the United
States was about $117 billion in 2000” alone. The exorbitant spending
on weight- loss products, diet programs, and pills demonstrate how
desperate America is to conquer the excess pounds. According to a 1995
report from the Institute of Medicine (IOM), tens of millions of
Americans are dieting at any given time, spending more than $50 billion
a year on diet products, such as diet foods and drinks.
People have gone to extreme lengths to lose weight, get in shape and
feel younger, transforming the weight loss industry into a billion
dollar enterprise. There are weight loss products, programs, spas,
health clubs, personal trainers, and home exercise equipment available
everywhere. Weight loss has become complicated and expensive as many
people experience a wide range of benefits from various diet programs –
Now we know why.
According to LaVonna Bledsoe, President of Advanced DNA Testing, “There
are many factors that affect how much or how little food a person eats
and how that food is metabolized. The only way to definitively
determine what is right for your body is through DNA testing.”
Nutritional Genetic Technology can test 19 genetic markers within your
body to unequivocally establish what is right for you. 50% of the
population cannot metabolize B vitamins and a large percentage is wheat
intolerant. We have a nation struggling to overcome weight issues and
fighting depression and many do not realize that the symptoms of
depression, insomnia and schizophrenia can be tied to nutritional
deficiencies.
DNA contains the instructions for building and operating a human being
- a person's entire set of genes determines who we are and what health
factors we are predisposed to. Understanding our individual DNA
requirements can provide an advantage in battling everything from
obesity to poor health.
Because of the high demand for weight loss related products and
services, many spend small fortunes to achieve their weight loss goals.
DNA Nutritional Testing is a simple cheek swab and does not require a
blood draw. Because an individual’s DNA does not change, one test lasts
a lifetime. Stop the trial and error of dieting and find out what your
body really needs.
