It is the beginning of the new year and for most of us that means
the beginning of our new years resolution to lose weight and be healthy.
With as much attention as our popular fad diets have received promising fast and incredible results, it is most likely we end up following the trend and choosing one of those miracle diets. Most of these diets have been shown to eliminate a specific food group
while allowing you to over indulge in another. Although common sense
would suggest that having too much of one thing has never been a good
thing, the desire for fast results becomes too gripping to pass.
Fad diets are far from ideal diets because they are almost never well balanced.
If choosing one of these diets make sure you read all the material
before committing. Usually they advise you to stick to the one diet for
life, unless it is a quick fasting regimen. If choosing a quick fasting program, which consists of a minimal time period to lose weight, take note that once completed it doesn't allow you to celebrate with food. This will just bring you back to the beginning and possibly add more weight on. Diets are great as long as they are realistic and well balanced. |
