Get Rid of those Trouble Spots PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 18 January 2006

The best way to get rid of those trouble spots. Trouble spots are those pesky areas such as your hips, inner thighs, love handles, and behind the arms.

Most of us have them and they seem impossible to get rid of. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as spot reduction; only plastic surgeons have the ability to do that for us. Yet their are some great ways of reducing the appearance of our imperfections.

A good aerobic routine with a healthy clean diet will give the results you wish for. This sounds easier then what it is because for most of we burn ourselves out after a couple dedicated weeks of strong cardio exercise. We can not let this happen because perfection will not come over night. The most effective cardio for this specific fitness goal would be low intensity long duration cardio. An example of this would be to exercise between 60 and 75 percent of your (MHR). The best way to calculate your intensity and the amount of calories you burn is by a heart rate monitor. To find your maximum heart rate (MHR) subtract your age from 220, then multiply by 60 then 70 percent. Between these two numbers is your fat- burning zone.

The duration of your cardio workout should be about 45 to 75 minutes, five to six times a week. Although if you are just starting out gradually work up to this. Another very important part of fat loss is diet. Start eating healthy portion controlled meals four to five times a day. By doing this you will jump start your metabolism and increase your natural fat burning ability. Stay consistent and be patient, you will see results.
