Well defined abs has forever optimized the idea of the perfect
body. So how can we get what we have always dreamed of. By following
three simple tips you can get picture perfect abs.
Tip#1: Portion control
Living in the era of super sized meals and available snacks at every
corner can be hard to avoid when it has become the norm. How many
people do you think in our society actually stop eating when they
are full? This is where the answer lies. Monitor the amounts of food
you consume and don't overindulge.
Of course this is easier said the done because already your body has
been conditioned to eat more then what is needed. This will take some
work, but make sure that the idea of saving a buck for a super sized
meal doesn't sway you in the wrong direction. In the end you just
gain more calories over the savings of a dollar, and that isn't worth
it.
Aim for a diet high in protein, moderate in carbs, and low in
fat. Prepare your meals at home, sit down to eat, and wrap up
your leftovers for lunch the next day. To give you an estimate of how
many calories you should consume for weight loss, multiply your
weight by 15 and subtract a couple hundred off the total.
Tip#2 Move it to lose it
Contrary to popular belief their is no such thing as spot reduction.
A person who only does crunches will not have ripped abs or lose inches
off their stomach. To get lean you must incorporate resistance training
and cardio exercise. The fact is that you must burn extra
calories to lose fat and tone up. A conditioned body promotes lean
muscle mass in which the body will naturally burn calories.
Tip#3 Planning your healthy lifestyle
A planned diet followed with a workout schedule will help guarantee
that you reach your fitness goals. Eating healthy meals four to
five times a day is important in controlling sudden splurge cravings.
Prepare and store in reasonable sized containers. Since most of us are
always pressed for time, schedule your workouts just like work and
class. Get a daily planner if you don't already have one and set aside
at least one hour every other day to workout. |
